Rosanne Colvard

Rosanne Colvard, a native born Floridian, received her M. A. at the University of Maryland, a B. S. at Bowie State University, and did undergraduate work at Stetson University.  In addition, she has worked with Allen Kaneshiro at the National Collection of Fine Arts (currently the Portrait Gallery in Washington, D. C.), and Chris Mona at Anne Arundel Community College.  She has exhibited at the Baltimore Museum of Art, The Art League in Alexandria, Virginia, The Salamagundi Print C;ub in New York City, galleries in Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, Maryland, and throughout the east coast.  Colvard has had multiple solo exhibitions.

Colvard "fell in love" at an early age with art and loved teaching at Anne Annapolis Senior High School and as an adjunct professor at Anne Arundel Community College.  She worked with a group of educators to create the curriculum for printmaking in Anne Arundel County.

She is still in love with art and adores trying new media/techniques, paper, canvas, silk, color--almost anything you can name.  Living here, nature's wild beauty is exciting, always changing and forever here.  The processes are fascinating.  She is enthralled by the power of the ocean and the life it lives, destroys, and gives.
